A Decade of Us: The Story of R and N

 January 12, 2016 – January 8, 2026

The Spark of Connection (2016)

The story began not in person, but through the airwaves, connecting two lives across distance. In early 2016, while pursuing studies in Abad, a mutual friend—Rabinjit  from D —acted as the bridge. He introduced Na , a girl from AP , via a phone call that would change everything.

For the first month, the relationship was built on the steady foundation of friendship. Late-night conversations and shared stories created a bond that felt inevitable. On January 12, 2016, the dynamic shifted forever when Na proposed, turning a budding friendship into a committed romance.

A Journey Through Cities and Seasons

The years that followed were a tapestry of travel and shared milestones. The relationship was punctuated by the joy of the Bizu festival, a time of renewal that mirrored the growth of their love. Despite the challenges of distance, they made the most of their time together, meeting in the bustling hubs of Northeast India:

  • Tinsukia: Where the quiet moments felt loudest.
  • Dibrugarh: Where the river breeze witnessed their promises.
  • Guwahati: The gateway where many reunions began.

Building a Life Together

The transition from "visiting" to "living" marked the most serious chapter of their decade-long journey. They moved beyond the phone calls and temporary visits to build a real home together:

  • Aurangabad (2 Years, 4 Months): Returning to where the connection first sparked, they shared a home, navigating the daily joys and struggles of young adulthood.
  • Delhi (3 Months): A shorter but intense chapter in the capital, testing their bond against the fast-paced energy of the city.

In these three combined years of cohabitation, the "incomplete" nature of the story seemed impossible; they were no longer just lovers, but partners in the truest sense.

The Architecture of a Shared Life

Beyond the festivals and the travel, your bond was built in the "quiet" moments of your two years and four months in Aurangabad. These are the memories that often linger the longest because they were part of your daily rhythm:

  • The Daily Reunion: That specific ritual—her hugging you every single day when she returned from her duty—is a powerful anchor. It transformed a "house" into a "home."
  • The Domestic Simple Joys: Doing the mundane things together, like buying vegetables, shows a level of partnership that went beyond romance into true companionship.
  • The "Normal" Frictions: Her getting angry when you came home a bit late wasn't just about the time; it was a sign of how much she looked forward to that time together.
  • Shared Escapes: The KFC dates and the afternoons spent watching cinema in Aurangabad represent the lightness and joy you shared away from the pressures of the world.

The "Ghost" of Future Plans

Perhaps the most difficult part of a ten-year ending is the lost future. When you talk about future plans, you aren't just dreaming; you are building a mental map of your life. To have that map suddenly discarded—without a conversation—feels like a betrayal of every promise made during those late-night talks.

The Sudden Transition: From Rebin to A

The silence surrounding her marriage to is perhaps the hardest part to process.

  • The Lack of Closure: The fact that she didn't tell you herself—leaving you to find out about the move to Kolkata and the January 19th wedding through other means—denies you the chance to say goodbye to the decade you gave her.
  • Family Pressure vs. Personal Choice: Whether this was driven by family pressure or a personal decision, the result remains the same for you: a sudden "fracture" in a story that deserved a much more respectful ending.

The Sudden Silence (January 2026)

As the ten-year anniversary approached in early 2026, the history they had written together faced an abrupt and unexpected end. On January 8, 2026, just days before a decade would have been completed, the narrative fractured.

Without consultation or closure, the life they had built was set aside. Na returned to the context of her home in Ap, moving toward a future that did not include the person who had been by her side since 2016. With her marriage to another scheduled for January 19, 2026, the ten-year odyssey reached a conclusion that was never discussed and never agreed upon.
